And there you have a basic Anti-Microbial Wound Tea Recipe. Of course, many herbs have multiple benefits, and different herbs do share benefits, so you can substitute some of these for others with the same properties. Comfrey is commonly used, as well as Lavender, but there are others that will work. However, there are cautions to be understood when working with Comfrey, so be sure you know these issues before you choose Comfrey.
If you are trying to become more self-sufficient, as we are, you can do your research to find out what herbs and spices will grow in your area. Then learn the medical properties of each. Once you have an idea of what your local plants can do for you, you can plan your own herbal apothecary for your family. You may not be able to grow all of the plants that you need, but many times you can buy in bulk for the ones that you can not grow.
As always, do your research, know what you have and what you need, and go from there. You do not need ALL the herbs; you only need the ones that your family may need to use. Learn one herb or spice at a time, and once you are proficient with that one, move on to learning a new one. In no time, you will have expanded your knowledge and your home apothecary to fit your family’s needs.
We hope you have enjoyed this Anti-Microbial Wound Tea Recipe and that it may help you, your family, or your animals. Try it out and see how it works for you. This recipe can be used on both animals and people. Of course, avoid the eyes, nose, and do not drink it.
