Today we have a recipe for Resurrection Rolls. This is a fun, recipe that comes out with a fun hollow roll. The kids love to make these rolls. This is a great recipe to get the kids involved in.

This is a great way to have a show-n-tell about the Easter Story and explain to young kids about the empty tomb.

To make Resurrection Rolls you will need:

Crescent Rolls

Stick of Butter

Sugar

Cinnamon

Marshmallows

Vanilla

As we said, this is a good recipe for kids, even small kids can help with this one. Of course, only an adult should be dealing with the hot oven. But the kids can help with putting the Resurrection Rolls together.

To make Resurrection Rolls:

1. Open the crescent rolls and lay them out.

2. Melt the butter in a bowl.

At this point, you can add Vanilla to the butter if you want.

We did a talk some time ago on How to Make Homemade Vanilla Extract. It is actually much easier than it sounds and so much better than the fake stuff.

3. Mix the Cinnamon and sugar.

There are some people that are allergic to Cinnamon so be sure no one is allergic to Cinnamon before you proceed. If this is the case, omit the Cinnamon and just go with the sugar.

4. Roll a marshmallow in the butter.

9. Place the Resurrection Rolls on parchment paper on a baking pan.

10. Cook at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Let the rolls get to a nice golden brown but be careful that they do now burn. The Cinnamon sugar may ooze out of the roll and become very hard and crunchy.

This picture shows a tray Resurrection Rolls cooked and ready to come out of the oven.

The idea here is that the marshmallow inside the roll will melt away leaving a hollow roll but will leave behind the sweet marshmallow flavor. The Cinnamon sugar will be a bit crispy around the edges. If you cook it to just golden brown, the outside will be crisp and the inside will be soft, and sweet.

11. Take the baking pan out of the oven and let the rolls cool just a bit. Do Not let the rolls totally cool on the pan or they will stick to the paper.

This picture shows a tray Resurrection Rolls laid out on a cooling rack.

12. Place the Resurrection Rolls on a plate.

13. Eat and enjoy.

This picture shows one of the Resurrection Rolls broken in half. There is a hollow center that is lined with Cinnamon on the inside and outside.

These are great when warm but still very good after they are cooled.

Add a cup of coffee and you have a nice, warm, comfy snack.

And that is all there is to it. Resurrection Rolls are fun to eat, with a hollow center, and a sweet, marshmallow, Cinnamon taste.

This is the recipe cards for Resurrection Rolls. The title is at the top in black. There is a picture of the Resurrection Rolls to the right side. There is an ingredients list and a steps section. There is a drawn picture of on open tomb at the top left corner. The background is white.
