Today we have a quick, fun, cooling drink recipe for you, Homemade DIY Jamaica Icee. Yes, you can make your own Icee at home in your kitchen. You will need three ingredients and a blender.

As you know from other talks, we love Jamaica. We grow Hibiscus. We use the dried flowers to make Jamaica Tea. Last year we did a talk on How to Make Home-Brewed Jamaica Tea.

We also shared out love for Tea Drops, an environmentally friendly, no-waste, tea company.

So here we have the recipe for Homemade DIY Jamaica Icee. It is really more of a set of steps than an actual recipe but anyway, here it goes.

As we said, we did a talk on How to Make Home-Brewed Jamaica Tea. This is the Jamaica concentrate you start with. If you need that recipe again, just pop over and get it.

We use Agave nectar as our sweetener but you can use honey, sugar, or artificial sweeteners if that is your thing.

When blending, do not over-blend. You want to get a small, piece, Icee, not a slurry. Of course, you can make your Icee to the texture that you want it to be.

If you are so inclined, you can add food coloring to come up with really cool color alternatives for your Jamaica Icee.

Of course, like most DIY you can substitute the Jamaica Tea for other fruit juices, frozen fruit, or other teas. You are not stuck with only one option.

Now serve up your Homemade DIY Jamaica Icee in a cool glass with a reusable straw. We like bamboo straws but any earth-friendly straw will do.
