Today we have a DIY Lysol Cleaner Alternative with Essential Oils Recipe using common household items, and essential oils. We think this is a better than Lysol Lysol recipe.

This is kind of a medical but also a household cleaning recipe. It is very simple to make and takes only minutes to mix up. And you probably already have some of the ingredients on hand. If you favor essential oils, you may have all that you need at home already.

We have a couple of Essential Oil companies that we use but StarWest Botanicals is one of our favorites. They offer high-quality essential oils as well as other fine natural products.

To make DIY Lysol Cleaner Alternative with Essential Oils Recipe you will need:

10 drops of Tea Tree oil

20 Drops of Eucalyptus essential oil

Put your cleaner into a spray bottle. We prefer glass bottles but glass spray bottles are not easy to come by, most are made of plastic these days. If you use plastic, it will absorb the oils but it may also alter the smell a bit.

Be sure to remember to put a label on your cleaner bottle. We do not want to mix things up. If you are like we are, you may have more than one bottle of DIY with essential oils around the house at one time. Spritzing yourself with cleaner rather than cooling mist, may not come out well.

Note: you must have the proper “sage advice” and supervision from the dogs.  Howard the pug and Stanley the chi were on the case to be sure we did everything right.

Now you have made your own DIY Lysol Cleaner Alternative with Essential Oils.

You can, of course, as with most DIY tweak the recipe to your liking. Add different oils if you like to get the scent you want. Just remember the Essential oils in this recipe do have germ-killing properties that other essential oils may not have. It is best to use these and add others rather than omit any of them.

To use:

Shake well, then spray onto whatever surface you are cleaning.

It is best to leave the surface wet and let it air dry. This gives the spray more time to work.

In past years, it was common to find hospitals and doctor’s offices using nothing more than alcohol or peroxide to clean. Nowadays, they favor chemical cleaners that are bad for you and the environment. But you can still go the greener way and make your own.

This recipe is not only simple to make and uses common ingredients but it is also kid, pet, and earth friendly.

Of course, caution should always be taken with any kind of cleaner. Do not get it in your eyes, nose, etc. Do not drink it, no idea why you would anyway.

And if you are cleaning fabrics or cloth items, do a test spot first. Alcohol and Peroxide can bleach or stain some clothes.

This recipe is strong enough to kill viruses, bacteria, and some molds.

It will also leave you with a nice, natural scent. Once the alcohol and peroxide dry only the essential oil scents will be left. You will not get a chemical smell like store-bought cleaners.
