Simple DIY Calendula Body Butter Recipe ingredients:
1 Tablespoon Bees wax
2oz./1/4cup Calendula infused oil
1 Tablespoon Shea Butter
This recipe will make a firm butter that will melt on your fingers, but you can make it softer or harder as you like. You can also substitute coco butter for the Shea Butter if you choose.
In order to be able to make this Simple DIY Calendula Body Butter Recipe, you will need to have Calendula-infused oil on hand. We keep Calendula-infused oil as we use it often. As it does take several weeks to infuse the Calendula oil, it is always best to think ahead and keep the infusions that you know you will need ready.

You will need:
Dried Calendula flowers
oil of your choice (Almond, Olive, whichever you like)
a clean jar
1. Put dried Calendula flowers into a clean jar.
2. Fill the jar with your chosen oil.
3. Let it sit in a sunny window for 6 to 8 weeks.
4. Strain, keep the oil, and discard leftovers.
We put the leftover flowers into the mulch bucket.
5. Pour Calendula-infused oil into a clean jar, seal, and label.
And there you have the infused Calendula oil.
To make the Simple DIY Calendula Body Butter Recipe:
1. On the stovetop, gently warm the Calendula-infused oil, but do not let it boil.
2. Stir in the Shea Butter or Coco butter.
3. Add the wax until melted.
4. Mix until well blended.
5. Pour warm mix into containers.
6. Let sit until full cooled and firm.
7. Put on lids and label.
To use the Simple DIY Calendula Body Butter Recipe:
Apply a small amount to hands and gently rub into damaged or dry areas. This recipe will soothe dry skin and sunburns as well. It makes a nice lip balm, but of course, it is for external use only.
